Welcome to Storeminator

Introduction

Storeminator helps you buy cheaper by comparing the prices of items on sale from the leading online retailers eBay and Amazon. We think that this is unique because there have been few successful attempts to include eBay products in comparison shopping - for technical reasons it is hard to make eBay results closely match the items being searched for. However, we believe our special algorithm has got closer than ever before in providing you with price comparisons between eBay and other top retailers. So now you have the opportunity to buy what you are looking for even cheaper!

How do I use Storeminator?

Browsing and searching

To the left of this page, and on the homepage of Storeminator, there is a Departments menu with a list of categories and sub-categories which you can click in order to browse the particular category of product you are interested in.

However, many visitors prefer to simply search for the product they are looking for using the search bar at the top of the page - if that's you, simply choose the category you want to search under from the drop-down list, type in the words you want to search on, e.g. mp3 player and press enter.

Whatever method of browsing you decide on, you will be presented with a list of products from the given category and you can click on the product, the read more link or the Compare button below the picture to see more detail on the product.

When browsing, most product categories have multiple pages, so you can click on the page numbers at the top and bottom of the page to see more products. You can also click on the related categories listed at the top of the page to narrow down your search.

Finding it cheaper!

On most pages on the site, the right-hand side of the screen is where you can see items from eBay relating to the page you are currently on, with prices listed. This is where Storeminator really comes into its own and where you have a good chance of finding a bargain! You can click on an item at any time and be taken to the eBay page relating to the product to find out more. If you are still on a browse page (with multiple products shown in the center of the page) the eBay matches might not be as accurate as you would like. In this case, click on the actual product you are interested in from the selection you are browsing, and the eBay matches should improve drastically!

Of course, it is quite possible (in fact very common) for the eBay price NOT to be the cheapest! In that case you can click the orange BUY button under the main product picture to be taken to the product page of the retailer in question (usually Amazon currently) and complete your purchase.

We hope that's enough to help you for now - if you are still unsure, the FAQ may have some more answers for you.

Happy Storeminating!
